Job Description

Overview

As the HRBP Field Sales you will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical HR support to the Commercial Sales organization specifically our Primary Care Sales Team. Reporting to the Senior Director Human Resources you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior sales leaders. You may also help lead several cross-functional or organization-wide initiatives and HR projects. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking operational excellence and the ability to foster a high-performing and inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Build effective and strong business relationships with commercial organization and cross-functional stakeholder groups. Proactively work with managers and employees at all levels to identify HR issues and devise creative solutions aligned to business objectives.
  • Act as a key liaison between HR and the primary care sales organization providing guidance on workforce planning talent acquisition and organizational development.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers such as coaching counseling career development disciplinary actions etc.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to meet the workforce needs the primary care sales organization. Play an active role in the interviewing and selection of talent for Shionogi Inc.
  • Implement talent management initiatives including talent reviews succession planning leadership development career pathing and employee retention strategies.
  • Identify training and development opportunities; develop and facilitate team effectiveness/skill-building workshops as needed.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective thorough and objective investigations. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation; develop or revise policies as needed. Ensure HR policies and procedures are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and lead the HR aspects of organizational change initiatives including restructures territory realignments and incentive plan updates
  • Act as project manager on key HR projects and cross-functional initiatives tied to organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with other HR functions (Recruitment Total Rewards HRIS etc.) as well as corporate functions (ie. Sales Training Compliance etc.) to jointly develop and manage an integrated HR strategy.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to provide insights into workforce trends and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Special Projects other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Some travel required; up to 15%.

Supervisory Decision-Making Authority

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in human resources business or a related area. PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of human resources professional experience with at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry as a HRBP.
  • Experience supporting commercial or field sales teams in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry including experience supporting a commercial product launch is preferred.
  • Subject matter expertise in employee relations HR compliance and recruitment; strong proficiency in talent management or organizational development.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously; project management training and/or certification preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate articulate clearly and conduct verbal presentations with large and small audiences.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated Human Resources generalist knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations; experience managing employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Ability to travel via automobile and/or airplane.
  • Must live a commutable distance to our US Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park NJ and be onsite 2-3 days/week.

Additional Information

The base salary range for this full-time position is $155000 - $180000. Individual pay is determined by several factors which include but are not limited to: job-related skills experience and relevant education or training. The range does not include the comprehensive benefits bonus long-term incentive applicable allowances or any additional compensation that may be associated with this role.
