Work Schedule:

80% FTE 32 Hours per week. Shifts scheduled Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Wednesday off. Hours may vary based on the needs of the clinic.

We are seeking an Infection Prevention Specialist to:

  • Conduct on site infection prevention assessments of healthcare facilities.
  • Provide follow-up consultation around mitigation of identified infection prevention gaps.
  • Review policies and procedures national standards to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Consult on infection prevention initiatives and projects across the system.
  • Collaborate with the infection prevention leadership team to develop implement and evaluate the infection prevention and control plan.
  • Incorporate improvement processes in collaboration with operational leaders to facilitate change in infection prevention throughout the UW Health System.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Associates Degree Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Healthcare or other related field Preferred
Work Experience
  • 6 months previous experience in an office or customer service environment Required
  • Previous experience working in healthcare Preferred
  • Previous experience scheduling of patients Preferred
  • Previous experience with answering phones greeting clients and customers in person Preferred
