Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Lexington is seeking qualified applicants for the position of EAF Lead. Responsibilities will include developing Nucor culture where safety is a value that is continually demonstrated. Other responsibilities will include selecting teaching and training a team in all aspects of steel production while working closely with peers within the leadership team to develop consistent guidelines for the Nucor Lexington team. In addition this person will be required to travel with the team to Nucor divisions for training in operations evaluating teammates for operational positions and defining specific training curriculum for each position.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior Melt Shop experience.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and unscheduled overtime rotating shifts weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Preferred Qualifications:
EAF experience.
Team member training and development experience.
Knowledge of operational systems and maintenance best practices.
