Job Description

Overview
The Hotel Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue and ensuring the growth and profitability of the hotel through strategic sales initiatives. This position is essential in positioning the hotel within its competitive landscape as the manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities enhancing existing client relationships and increasing market share. The Hotel Sales Manager will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to ensure that sales and marketing strategies align with the overall business goals of the hotel. A strong understanding of market trends customer preferences and the local hospitality landscape is crucial for success in this role. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional interpersonal skills be results-driven and demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional customer service which is fundamental in maximizing guest satisfaction and promoting repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve hotel revenue goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and assess competitor activity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design promotional offerings and campaigns.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Manage the hotel s sales pipeline and ensure accurate tracking of leads.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to management.
  • Participate in trade shows industry events and networking functions.
  • Train and mentor sales staff to develop their skills and enhance team performance.
  • Ensure the hotel achieves high levels of guest satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any sales-related issues promptly.
  • Utilize CRM tools to streamline processes and manage customer relationships.
  • Analyze sales data and adjust strategies based on findings.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and innovations to adapt sales tactics accordingly.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel sales or hospitality sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of the local market and competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for client meetings and industry events.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and a passion for the hospitality industry.
