Job Description
We seek applicants with a specialty in Metaphysics and Epistemology broadly construed. Areas of competence: Open with special interest in AI Philosophy of Technology Philosophy of Mind. The ideal applicant will have a Ph.D. in philosophy but advanced ABDs in philosophy will be considered. The successful applicant will be expected to teach in their area(s) of expertise across all levels; ideally some of these courses will contribute to our General Education Curriculum (please see: Teaching load is 2 courses per term; Union Colleges academic year consists of three 10-week trimesters.
About the Philosophy Department:
Union Colleges Philosophy department hosts one of the most impressive Speaker Series of any undergraduate institution in the department is also home to Ephemeris an undergraduate philosophy journal founded in 2001. The department also has a student-run philosophy club.

Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is $68500-$70500.Except for roles with a set rate of pay the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to departmental budgets qualifications experience education licenses specialty and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the Colleges good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
