Job Description
Position: Sales Associate
Industry: Retail Hospitality
The Sales Associate is responsible for welcoming and advising international customers while delivering a premium shopping experience. As a brand ambassador the associate contributes actively to the stores sales performance customer satisfaction and visual excellence while
complying with the airports security and operational procedures.
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet each customer in a warm personalized and professional manner.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and services.
- Drive sales by presenting features benefits and product highlights.
- Build customer loyalty through excellent service and personalized attention.
Sales Performance
- Achieve personal and collective sales targets and KPIs (e.g. conversion rate average basket size).
- Take part in in-store promotional activities and commercial events.
- Represent the brand with pride and consistency in a multicultural environment.
Cash Desk Operations
- Operate the POS system and handle transactions (cash card foreign currency if applicable).
- Apply duty-free procedures and ensure proper tax refund documentation.
- Ensure accuracy in change handling and follow currency conversion guidelines.
Merchandising & Stock Management
- Maintain a clean organized and visually appealing sales area.
- Ensure regular restocking and participate in inventory counts.
- Follow brand visual merchandising standards.
Security & Airport Compliance
- Comply with airport safety and access regulations (badge control surveillance awareness).
- Follow internal procedures related to product handling safety and hygiene.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Minimum high school diploma sales or customer service training is a plus
-Prior experience in sales preferably in duty-free travel retail or high-end boutiques
- Fluent English required additional languages are a plus (e.g. Chinese French Korean)
- Strong selling and advising techniques
- Ability to work with performance indicators
- Impeccable appearance and customer service focus
- Active listening dynamism and responsiveness
- Team spirit and ability to thrive in a multicultural setting
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Shift-based work schedule (early mornings evenings weekends public holidays).
- Standing for extended periods.
- Work under airport security supervision.
- Daily interaction with international and demanding customers
Salary: $300 - $550
Location: Phnom-Penh at TIA Techo International Airport (Cambodia)
Contract type: Permanent
