Estimator Summary:
The Estimator role for the Commercial division will be responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of large and complex projects as required by clients documents and provides complete conceptual and total bid price.
Essential Functions:
Reviews and evaluates requests for estimates for the appropriate division.
Works with clients and team members to clarify and understand scope prior to bidding.
Actively look for future bid opportunities.
Reviews estimates and revision for completeness and accuracy.
Reviews all and analyzes construction documents and understands scope of work to bid.
Gather calculate and complies all take-off data to create bid proposal estimates.
Executes take-off bid maintenance documents and inputs into computer.
Perform quantity and cost analysis labor estimates and pricing from subcontractors.
Prepares cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material labor equipment subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items from multiple sources.
Create job cost estimated with project cost/profit margins for work.
Project calculate and submit appropriate change orders on plan changes.
Review estimate for completeness and accuracy from start to finish and close out of the projects in a timely manner.
Follows up with clients on status of estimates after submittal.
Develops and maintains resource information on products vendors subcontractors government requirements etc.
Update and maintain bid schedule on a timely basis.
Develop bid calculator.
Support the overall goal and objectives of the company.
Attends meetings as required.
Work at a fast-paced environment while operating with a high sense of urgency.
Must uphold company policies procedures and company core values at all times.
Stay current on industry standards contracts and terms.
Qualifications Required
-2 years of estimating experience in the landscaping industry preferably in landscape construction
-Must have valid work authorization we will not be sponsoring employment for this role
-Willing to sit onsite in Corpus Christi full-time 7AM-4PM
