Role: Test Lead/QA Lead
Skills: Functional and Automation Testing Cloud DevOps Oil & Gas Domain experience
Location: Madrid Spain
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Lead to join our dynamic team focusing on critical software testing initiatives for clients preferably within the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of comprehensive experience in software quality assurance with a strong background in functional and automation testing and test planning with hands-on experience in both cloud and DevOps environments. Prior experience within the Oil & Gas domain is preferred and exposure to EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) or Sustainability products like e-Cow will be a significant advantage. This role involves leading testing efforts ensuring alignment with business requirements and driving defect resolution in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test strategies plans and approaches for various software applications.
- Oversee the design development and execution of detailed test cases ensuring thorough coverage and traceability.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Manage the logging prioritization tracking and verification of defects from identification to resolution.
- Identify and implement opportunities for test automation utilizing appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Prepare and present clear test reports metrics and dashboards to stakeholders ensuring effective communication.
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to testing processes and methodologies for enhanced efficiency and quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in software quality assurance with 2-3 years in a Test Lead or Senior QA role.
- Preferred 3 years of experience within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Direct experience with EHS/Sustainability software like e-Cow is a significant advantage.
- Strong proficiency in developing test strategies and overseeing comprehensive test case design and execution.
- Expertise in test management tools (e.g. Jira Azure DevOps ALM Octane).
- Hands-on experience with at least one test automation tool (e.g. Selenium Playwright UFT) and API/SQL testing.
- Proven leadership mentoring and team-building capabilities.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred: Proficiency in Spanish language is preferred
