Job Title: Telecom and OSS Tech lead
Location: Calgary AB (Onsite)
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Telecom and OSS Tech lead with strong experience in telecommunications OSS/BSS architecture and AWS cloud integration. This leadership role involves managing large-scale technical integrations mentoring engineering teams and driving end-to-end delivery across complex partner-intensive ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical delivery of telecom and OSS solutions ensuring quality scalability and on-time execution.
- Manage complex integration projects involving multiple partners and technologies at scale.
- Collaborate with customers to drive alignment efficiency and stakeholder engagement across initiatives.
- Mentor and guide a technical team of 10 engineers fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Design and validate scalable technical architectures and navigate delivery challenges effectively.
- Partner with project managers to cascade information track milestones and report on key dependencies.
- Provide clear technical status reporting risk assessments and define mitigation strategies.
- Act as the technical anchor for communication across internal teams vendors and third-party collaborators.
- Facilitate resolution of open technical questions and ensure logical consensus and closure.
- Promote a culture of open feedback technical ownership and performance enablement within the team.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12 years of experience in technical delivery and system integration.
- Proven telecom experience with deep knowledge of Cable Networks OSS/BSS and TMForum APIs.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS including designing and managing cloud-native architectures.
- Strong understanding of telecom operations integration touchpoints and solution delivery lifecycle.
- Exceptional team leadership and mentoring capabilities in fast-paced multi-vendor environments.
- Proficiency in risk management issue resolution and stakeholder communication.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing onshore/offshore collaboration models.
