Gotham Newcastle is located in the Old Fire Station which was originally built inbased on designs by Cackett Burns Dick and Mackellar. Baroque Revival in style a handsome steel framed building with rusticated Portland stone and brick cladding.

As our Assistant Housekeeping Manager you will take care of the stage for a sumptuous hotel experience offering opulence and luxury. Give our guests the amazing VIP treatment from when the curtain lifts on entry to the hotel along with during hotel check in and departure. You must be fully flexible working 5 over 7 days and a variety of daytime or evening shifts.
Youll join a friendly talented and dedicated cast who deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have superb personal presentation and terrific team spirit. Supervising daily housekeeping operations with a hands-on visible leadership style
Supporting and developing a high-performing housekeeping team
Conducting room and public area checks to ensure five-star cleanliness and presentation
Coordinating with departments such as Front Office and Maintenance to ensure seamless guest experiences
Managing housekeeping stock supplies and equipment effectively
Responding to guest requests and resolving housekeeping-related issues promptly
Promoting a safe hygienic and positive working environment
Stepping up as Duty Manager when required
Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury or five-star hotel (minimum 2 years)
Strong leadership and organisational skills with attention to detail
A guest-first mindset with a passion for high standards
Knowledge of housekeeping systems (e.g. Opera Knowcross HotSOS) is an advantage
A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to inspire your team
