Quality Manager
Minneapolis MN Direct Hire $80k - 100k
Konik is partnering with a local manufacturer that is seeking a new Quality Manager.This role is responsible for ensuring that all parts meet or exceed customer specifications by overseeing inspections maintaining quality systems and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager also plays a hands-on role in training documentation and equipment calibration.
Quality Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee incoming in-process and final part inspections
- Train employees in inspection methods blueprint reading and CMM usage
- Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment and related documentation
- Manage non-conformance reports and corrective actions
- Program and operate Zeiss CMM
- Prepare certification packages and first article inspections
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues with production and customers
- Maintain quality records and documentation per customer and ISO requirements
- Monitor and improve quality processes using SPC tools and software
- Document and manage scrap
- Lead and manage quality team members
- Support and uphold ISO procedures
- Identify and implement department improvements
Quality Manager Qualifications:
- 35 years of inspection experience preferably in a machine shop environment
- Strong understanding of blueprint interpretation and metrology
- Experience with CMM programming and operation (Zeiss preferred)
- Proficient with SPC and quality data systems
- Strong communication problem-solving and organizational skills
- High school diploma or GED; vocational training or certification in inspection or quality preferred
