Job Summary:
The Quality Technician will be responsible for completing mechanical testing including Tensile Yield & Elongation along with bend or crush testing to industry or customer requirements. The Quality Technician shall act with integrity in all testing results and records.
Required Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings specifications and industry standards.
- Proven abilityto operate test and inspection equipment.
- Proven abilityto operate Band Saw and CNC.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is desired.
- Any experience in quality testing and inspection procedures.
- Good math skills problem solving and computer skills.
- Able to understand and adhere to lab and company quality/safety documentation.
- Effective communication both written and verbal skills to all plant personnel levels.
- English required. Spanish preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare test specimens to industry and Hydro standards.
- Perform mechanical testing including bend and crush testing to testing procedures and ensures compliance.
- Perform torque testing on various parts.
- Perform Safe Launch on assigned part numbers per process instructions.
- Maintain the highest levels of ethical and compliant behavior.
- Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
