Lead the supply and expediting activities of multi-million dollar multi-disciplinary multi-contract projects with a substantial number of interfaces and coordination to manage. Define and implement all the necessary processes and procedures in line with industry standards to ensure a successful execution of the supply and expediting activities of the offshore project. Define implement resource and manage the appropriate organization structure for executing the supply & expediting tasks of the project. Definition of the Employers Requirements and delivery terms for Supply and Expediting for all the packages in the project evaluation of the technical compliance of bidders through the tendering process. Lead the integration of the Free Issue Equipment (FIEs) within the different Offshore packages and designs including planning and coordination of all supplies and logistics. Lead the Transition Piece Mock-up Project coordinating the works with all the affected packages and ensuring that the risks that this initiative is targeting are effectively mitigated. Desk expediting: Monitor and reporting of the manufacturing progress time schedules suppliers workload and manpower vs. contractual obligations and production plans evaluating critical points which could affect the production and consequently the delivery times of the project. Field expediting: carry out inspection on the manufacturing facility project support on manufacturing issues and expeditor review of actual order status. Review of correct loading & shipment and discharge of goods and materials. Manage the Expediting Service contract and the external Fabrication and Expediting resources and their respective employment contracts both during procurement and execution phases. This includes planning and budgeting of the services and contract management activities such as creation of purchase requisitions and purchase orders approval of invoices etc. Manage the Project Forwarder Company including communication and control of their activities. Lead the process of capturing and generating Lessons Learned and Best Practices for the Supply & Expediting and Fabrication departments of the Project. Risk Management for the Supply & Expediting scope. Support all packages transportation issues (review of transportation plan transport follow-ups permits etc.) Control of the fulfilment of the equipment packaging and sea fastening process according to the applicable procedure. Manage the interface with Marine Warranty Surveyors at the yards where fabrication activities take place and issue the shipping release on behalf of the employer. Provide strategic delivery advice assessment and recommendations to the business providing key knowledge lessons learned and support to the projects throughout the whole life cycle (development to decommissioning) to support the business plan delivery.
Full time employment Monday Friday 40 hours per week $184000.00 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Marine Engineering Energy Engineering Naval Architecture or a related field and 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience in the Power Generation industry.
Must have 6 years of experience in the Power Generation industry within a delivery orientated environment of large scale multi-million build projects through the pre-delivery delivery andoperation transition phases.
Must have 4 years of experience in leading large scale multi-million build projects through the pre-delivery delivery and operation transition phases.
Must have 1.5 years of experience in offshore industry.
Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
Monitoring and delivering manufacturing and logistic works and supply/transport contracts;
Factory/manufacturing experience; and
Leading procurement processes contract negotiations and detailed commercial delivery contracts.
International travel required up to 10%; Domestic travel required up to 15% for the purposes of visiting vendors.
