Job Description

BELLINGHAM MASSACHUSETTS

TITLE: Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Site Coordinator - Bellingham High School (1) DiPietro (1) Stall Brook (1)

POSITION SUMMARY:

To serve as the liaison between the District PLTW Coordinator district and building adminstration to coordinatethe PLTW programs ordering and provide support to classroom teachers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Day to Day:

a. This role is responsible for the day-to-day implementation and management of

PLTW programs at a specific site. (There can also be a secondary site coordinator

if needed)

b. This role is also responsible for collaborating with the District Coordinator and

administration to manage the annual rollout of new courses ensuring that

awarded grant specifications are followedin conjunction withthe building

principal. Tis effort aims to meet the schools goals and vision.

Classroom Management:

a. This role is responsible for addressing classroom management including

managing student users accessing and publishing course curriculum ensuring

the administration of End-of-Course (EoC) assessments and utilizing the data

inquiry cycle to analyze EoC results withPLTW trained staff and

administration.

End of Course Assessment (EoC):

a. A Program Coordinator or SiteCoordinator must roster all courses with an EoC.

role is responsible for preparing staff toadminister the EoC and

troubleshooting all technical issues that may arise on testing day. (See EoC

manual for more information)

Budget Training and Supplies:

a. This role is responsible for working in collaboration to develop and follow the

budget outlined in the awarded grant application along with the ordering

process/inventory for all durable materials (paid for by the grant) and

consumables (paid for by the district).

b. This role is responsible for payingannual participation fees through

district funding through the PO process or managing the budgetary process for

PTLW.

c. This role is responsible for facilitating Core training registration for all PLTW staff

to ensure all PLTW staff are properly trained to teach each specific PLTW course.

Program Development

a. Collaborate with the InternshipCoordinatoron job/internship placement at the

high school level and the establishment of criteria and creation of pathways for

diplomas of distinction.

SKILLS/ABILITY:

  1. Member of the BTA Staff
  2. Experienced and knowledgeable of PLTW program requirements.

SALARY: $500 Stipend

CLASSIFICATION: BTA

REPORTS TO: PLTW District Coordinator
