The Fitness Coordinator must be creative innovative and have exceptional customer service knowledge of principle of wellness physical fitness kinesiology anatomy and physiology. Knowledge in word processing desktop publishing spreadsheets and other related computer software. They should possess the ability to interact with individuals of all ages. We are seeking an individual who can hit the ground running and has an aptitude for creating fun and engaging programs to enhance our current programs. The individual will assist the Youth Wellness Coordinator in planning coordinating and conducting fitness activities during the after school and summer programs. This also includes wellness planning and activities such as scheduled noon hour fitness senior fitness classes and Earl Childhood Education fitness activities and runs duties include fitness classes to improve strength flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning for all ages. Knowledge of operations and maintenance of exercise equipment. Other responsibilities include assisting with building maintenance custodial duties and security.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required along with at least 1 year experience in the Health and Wellness field (Personal Training or Group Fitness) along with 2 years of youth experience is preferred. Must pass a background check drug test possess a valid Oregon Drivers License and pass driving requirement for the CTWS; obtain First Aid and CPR Certification within (6) months of employment.
