Job Description

BUSINESS FUNCTION: Commercial and Customer
GRADE: ML1/SB3
SALARY:Circa 43000 per annum
ROLE TYPE: Hybrid
LOCATION: Approx. 2 days in the office with the requirement to travel across the network as and when needed

In this exciting role youll turn data into action lead product delivery and help shape fare strategies that balance commercial impact with customer value all while playing a key part in the wider industry evolution.

What youll be doing

  • Deliver and implement data-led fare and product changes across our network ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in retail systems.
  • Use insights and analysis to support the development of innovative pricing strategies and multi-modal travel integration.
  • Lead on the execution and performance of products like Duo Flexi Season and Promotional fares to maximise value and revenue.
  • Collaborate across Northern and the rail industry contributing to national pricing reform and system development.
  • Monitor competitor pricing evaluate market opportunities and advise stakeholders on changes that drive results and compliance.

About You

Were looking for someone who brings a blend of commercial thinking technical know-how and a passion for delivering great customer outcomes. To succeed in this role youll need the following skills and experience:

  • Degree level qualification and experience in a pricing ticketing or commercially analytical role.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret complex datasets to guide decision-making.
  • Skilled in BI tools (e.g. Tableau) with a focus on actionable insights and performance analysis.
  • A confident communicator who can work across teams with external partners and within complex regulatory environments.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities deliver to deadlines and lead change within a structured framework.
