As the school embraces digital transformation and technology-enabled learning we are seeking a Product Manager to oversee the development integration and continuous improvement of software platforms digital tools and user-facing applications that enhance the educational experience for students faculty staff and families.

Position Summary

The Product Manager will lead the strategy development and management of technology products across the school. This includes managing learning platforms student information systems and other digital applications that support teaching learning and school operations.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator skilled at translating stakeholder needs into actionable product roadmaps and experienced in working with cross-functional teams. This role is remote but may require occasional on-site visits to Baton Rouge Louisiana for key projects workshops or system rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

Develop and own the product vision and strategy for school digital platforms and applications.

Build and manage a product roadmap aligned with school priorities and user needs.

Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency in teaching learning and operations.

Product Development & Lifecycle Management

Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of school technology products including evaluation selection implementation and continuous improvement.

Manage integrations between systems such as Student Information Systems (SIS) Learning Management Systems (LMS) HR/payroll systems and communication tools.

Work with vendors developers and internal IT teams to ensure on-time high-quality product delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary liaison between school leadership faculty staff and technology teams.

Gather feedback from end-users and translate it into actionable requirements.

Facilitate cross-department collaboration to ensure products meet the needs of all stakeholders.

Data Security & Compliance

Ensure products adhere to FERPA COPPA HIPAA and other educational data protection regulations.

Work closely with the technology team to implement cybersecurity best practices.

Monitor product performance through analytics reporting and KPIs.

Training & Support

Develop and maintain user guides documentation and training resources.

Lead professional development sessions for faculty and staff on new systems and features.

Provide ongoing product support and serve as an escalation point for system-related issues.

Budgeting & Vendor Management

Manage vendor relationships licensing agreements and service contracts.

Evaluate vendor proposals negotiate pricing and ensure cost-effective product solutions.

Track and manage budget allocations for digital tools and platforms.

Required Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems Education Technology or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in product management project management or technology leadership.

Proven track record of managing software products or platforms (preferably in education or non-profit settings).

Strong understanding of SIS LMS and EdTech applications.

Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Excellent communication organizational and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while effectively collaborating with distributed teams.
