As a Software Development Engineer on the Amazon Q Business team you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable high-performance systems and frameworks that enable efficient data collection storage evaluation and metric integration.
Key job responsibilities Architect scalable and high-performance server systems to handle large volumes of evaluation requests efficiently. Build software frameworks and tools to automate the process of running evaluations. Develop reliable frameworks for collecting large-scale language and web data. Implement data storage and retrieval mechanisms to manage large datasets. Work closely with the science team to integrate the latest evaluation metrics into the evaluation pipeline.
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team - Experience with Storage: S3 DynamoDB Amazon RDS Amazon OpenSearch - Analytics: EMR Athena Glue Kinesis - ML/AI: SageMaker Comprehend - Security: IAM KMS CloudWatch Large-scale data processing frameworks (Spark Flink)
- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience - Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience with privacy-preserving techniques and data security - Experience with multimodal data processing - Knowledge of ML/AI systems and evaluation metrics - Background in building data catalogs or metadata management systems
