First Shift (Days)Environmental Conditions

Overview
Become an integral part of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Miami Florida ensuring product quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Aseptic sampling of incoming materials for testing.
- Perform quality control testing on finished products including sterility endotoxin and pH while adhering to cGMPs SOPs and all safety regulations.
- Collect and analyze water samples for TOC conductivity and bioburden.
- Support environmental monitoring activities such as contact plating viable and non-viable air sampling and media fill validations.
- Demonstrate judgment tact and diplomacy in interactions with internal and external customers.
- Clean and maintain lab glassware and utensils.
- Collaborate closely with a team in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
- Understand and follow all safety requirements and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining standards in accordance with GMPs SOPs and ISO regulations.
- Perform routine environmental monitoring and critical utility sampling.
- Support all company policies.
- Be available to work weekend shifts when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Equivalent experience to High School Diploma or GED required. Coursework towards a Bachelors degree in biological sciences or microbiology is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of microbiology lab experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with various departments regarding quality testing.
- Comfort working in a cGMP clean room environment for extended periods.
- Intermediate computer skills particularly in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit.
- Shows personal field accountability integrity and operational excellence.
Working Conditions
- Must work safely with materials and equipment.
- Wear specialized PPE provided due to potential exposure to fumes and chemicals.
- Overtime may be required to support business needs with some emergency overtime possible.
