About the Position:
The Ideal Candidate:
Coordinating volunteer orientations trainings and placements.
Promoting programs and maintaining outreach materials.
Managing timesheets reports and client care plans.
Partnering with local agencies for volunteer sites.
Planning volunteer recognition events.
Supporting volunteers and resolving issues as needed.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
AND
Two (2) years of progressively responsible recreational or community services program coordination experience or a combination of training and experience.
Experience with the administration of senior program services or the recruitment and assignment of a large number of volunteers is highly desirable. Bilingual skills preferred.
Licenses Certifications and Equipment:
A valid California drivers license is required.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Employees work under typical office conditions and the noise level is usually quiet. While performing the duties of this job employees are regularly required to sit walk and stand; talk or hear both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to manipulate handle feel or operate standard office equipment reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
