Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Electrical Panels
Location:Bucuresti
Department: Engineering / Electrical
Reports to: Engineering Manager / Technical Director
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a focus on the design assembly and testing of electrical panels. The ideal candidate will have solid experience working with low and medium-voltage power distribution panels demonstrate strong technical know-how and be comfortable with both schematic design and hands-on implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical panels (power distribution control MCCs) according to project requirements and industry standards.
Create and interpret electrical schematics and layout drawings using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical EPLAN).
Select components (circuit breakers contactors PLCs relays etc.) and prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM).
Oversee or perform panel wiring assembly and internal configuration ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards.
Perform functional testing troubleshooting and final inspection before delivery or installation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure project objectives are met on time.
Provide technical support during commissioning phases on-site if necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
35 years of experience in designing and building electrical panels.
Solid understanding of electrical systems industrial components and wiring techniques.
Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g. IEC UL ISO) and electrical safety codes.
Proficient in using CAD tools for schematic and layout creation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
