Job Description

Student Engagement Coordinator

Contract: Full-time ongoing

Location: Melbourne Docklands

Salary Level: Professional Staff Level 4 $83638 to $92003 plus 17% super and great benefits!

About your next role

As a Student Engagement Coordinator you will be responsible for designing and delivering a range of activities and events that support students in their transition to living and studying in Australia. This includes providing arrival services advisory sessions referrals to relevant support services and contributing to the delivery of orientation programs and large-scale events such as Harmony Day and Student Fairs.

Working collaboratively with the broader Student and Academic Services team you will play a key role in implementing support programs that enhance Monash College students successful transition into post-secondary and pre-university study.

To succeed in this role you will bring a genuine passion for student engagement strong attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving skills.

A typical day in this position might involve:

  • Planning event logistics such as catering scheduling and preparing presentations ensuring all elements align with the Colleges strategic objectives
  • Coordinating and leading the development of the student newsletter keeping students informed and engaged
  • Delivering training sessions to Student Leaders to prepare them for upcoming events
  • Presenting key information to a room full of new students during orientation

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience in event coordination or project management
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement of systems and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and complex student matters with sensitivity and professionalism
