Josiah HaynesTitle: Building-Based Substitute TeacherFunction: The role of the Building-Based Substitute Teacher is to maintain classroom discipline and to carry on the classroom procedures as if he/she were the regular teacher. The Building-Based Substitute Teacher will maintain the same responsibilities and the same duties as the regular teacher including bus duty and playground supervision. In the absence of the teacher the Building-Based Substitute will provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth while following any lesson plans and/or instructions left by the classroom teacher. He/She will enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in and out of the : to rotate into various teaching positions in the school on a daily basis and possibly throughout the teacher lesson plans and administrator directives with fidelity and with classroom teachers or school administrators regarding expectations for student work behavior and lesson the physical and emotional safety of all the teachers absence does not cause an interruption in classroom familiarity with district curriculum and and contribute in staff meetings and professional development activities as assigned by principal or their supervisory duties as assigned (such as lunch bus or recess duty) by state statutes school committee policies and regulations meetings and perform duties as assigned by principal or all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative all suspicions of abuse and/or neglect to DCYF and the confidentiality regarding students and staff personnel a positive role model for students support the mission of the to be flexible with job assignments as current on instructional practices in education (e.g. instructional technology) responsibility for other duties and responsibilities that may be assignedRate: $125/day full time only
