We are currently expanding the Strategy and Development Team to include a Senior Business Development (BD) Associate who reports directly to the Vice President Strategy & Development.
This is not a senior management executive or director position. This position is a full-time business development role with focus on proposal development/writing. The ideal candidate will have previously served in a proposal writer role and should be able to obtain a clearance and/or background check.
Job Description:
This is a hybrid position. As a part of the Strategy and Development Team and in accordance with the TRG Strategy & Development SOP this role requires a high level of initiative - executing established processes procedures and workflows. The Sr. BD Associate responsibilities include:
- Lead and support full-cycle proposal development from opportunity identification through submission ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements and internal standards.
- Coordinate inputs and content development from executives project managers subject matter experts and teaming partners to craft clear compelling and technically sound proposals.
- Manage proposal timelines and schedules facilitating color team reviews (e.g. Pink Red etc) and ensuring timely internal and partner feedback loops.
- Author edit and format proposal sections including management approaches staffing plans past performance narratives and resumes to ensure consistency and alignment with win themes.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of RFPs RFIs and RFQs to extract requirements evaluation criteria and compliance matrices to guide proposal structure and response strategy.
- Develop and maintain proposal artifacts including past performance libraries resume databases corporate capability narratives and reusable content templates.
- Support final quality control and production efforts including proofreading for grammar formatting RFP compliance and branding standards.
- Create supporting graphics diagrams and visual aids to enhance technical writing and improve proposal readability.
- Possess experience using GSA eBuy (e.g. MAS and OASIS) and SAM while gaining proficiency in other Federal Government Procurement Vehicles and Portals in support of pipeline tracking and opportunity targeting aligned with TRGs growth objectives.
- Research and monitor task orders and procurement trends synthesizing information to support go/no-go decisions and teaming strategies.
- Assist in the capture process by gathering corporate qualifications incumbent data and competitive intelligence to inform proposal planning.
- Maintain accurate and current proposal files and content libraries in SharePoint Teams and CRM platforms.
- Prepare presentations status updates and opportunity briefs for BD leadership and capture teams.
- Support internal process improvement by documenting lessons learned proposal best practices and win/loss feedback.
- Attend industry events partner meetings or Government-hosted Industry Days when required to support capture planning partner engagement and situational awareness of Federal market trends.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners as required to ensure alignment of business development activities with TRGs strategic goals and evolving customer needs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must possess an Associates Degree
- Undergo and clear background investigation
- 4 or more years of prior Industry or Government experience
- Proficient in MS365 Microsoft Office productivity suite (e.g. Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Teams SharePoint OneNote etc).
- Experienced technical writer developing and supporting proposal volumes win strategies schedules maintaining a CRM and SharePoint repository
- Proven ability to collaborate within and across organizational boundaries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to senior executives peers and customers
- Ability to work well with others.
