JOB SUMMARY

This position is an on-site full-time position that includes leading a top-performing team responsible for estimation and process management. It also involves establishing specific objectives policies and standardized processes with measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) and expected levels of excellence. Collaborating closely with other members of the leadership team the focus of this position will be to achieve sustainable estimation and processing practices while upholding our well-recognized elevated levels of exceptional customer service.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • In-depth knowledge of NHMS/RFMS Sales Force SQL Access Database Measured Squared data structure and proficiency in project management.
  • This includes the setup of new accounts involving the creation of the Master Overview and Pricing Version.
  • Regularly updating project pricing versions in response to pricing or specification changes.
  • Understanding and proficiency in cabinets flooring and wall product calculations.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze blueprints to accurately calculate materials for cabinets and flooring including walls half walls and potential room transitions.
  • Responsibilities encompass gathering and organizing builder work specifications at the onset of an account as well as assisting in organizing builder-specific diagrams or installation specifications.
  • Effective communication of these specifications to the processor to ensure thorough transmission to operations and installers.
  • Advanced expertise in Excel formulas and formatting.
  • Proficiency in creating modifying and organizing PDF files using Adobe Acrobat.
  • The ability to meticulously compare POS pricing/quantities/totals to NHMS calculations to identify and resolve variances determining whether corrective action is required in NHMS data or if a correction needs to be submitted to the builder or no correction is needed.
  • Take an active role with the team lead in training inexperienced staff.
  • Investigate and provide clear explanations for NHMS issues including missing products and excessive billing calculations.
  • Take charge of generating and formatting bids for potential new projects.
  • Persistently follow up for answers to work scope questions.
  • Take proactive steps to intervene with builders and team members when questions or issues are not being addressed or resolved.
  • Verify the job scope and documentation from our estimating teams for pinpoint accuracy covering everything from materials and labor to contracts purchase orders and billing totals.
  • Craft clear concise work orders and ensure seamless communication of the full scope to our production teams.
  • Authorize material procurement for our purchasing teams and meticulously track all deliveries to ensure everything is in place before the installation date.
  • Anticipate and adeptly address any unexpected hurdles from product delays and failures to subfloor issues added scope and change orders.
  • Manage and adhere to a department operational flowchart.
  • Manage Network File Structure
  • Manage NHMS & Sales
  • Manage NHMS & Measure Builder Standards & Take Off Reports.
  • Partner with Design Center to schedule designer appointments and create custom price requests per buyer/address.
  • Manage NHMS Ordering and Billing
  • Manage NHMS Forecasting
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Supervise a team of estimators account coordinators order processors and a field service representative.
Requirements

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelors degree preferred preferably in Supply Chain Business Industrial Distribution or a related field but not required.
  • Must possess a proven track record of leading direct and indirect associates
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver complex strategic initiatives in a truly fluid interactive environment.
  • Proven business acumen and capability in negotiation
  • Experience with distributed workforce across many locations
  • MS Access or SQL Query experience

o Extract data from NHMS and RFMS

o Occasionally update take-off fields in NHMS when manual

  • Import new product files into RFMS
