The Opportunity
Chelsea Piers Connecticut is looking for qualified individuals in the Stamford CT area to join our Fitness Club Membership Sales Team! As a Membership Sales Consultant youll be the face of our club engaging with prospective members understanding their goals and helping them find the right membership options to start their fitness journey. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for fitness and health thrives in a people-first environment is motivated by achieving goals and is excited to be part of a dynamic fast-paced team.
The ideal Membership Sales Consultant will have at least two years of sales experience in a Fitness Club or similar industry experience using a CRM system for tracking sales and experience in cold-calling and outreach strategies. At Chelsea Piers we invest in our employees part of our sales team you will be expected to achieve monthly goals and develop professionally by attending annual sales and customer service trainings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Actively sell new memberships to potential clients emphasizing the value of Chelsea Piers
- Generate new leads through active outreach personal connectionsand other sales strategies
- Adoption of relationship-based sales philosophy focused on information discovery
- Delivering superior customer service with an aim towards member retention
- Make daily lead follow-ups through email and phone calls
- Handle and assist with member inquiries tours sales presentations and member events
- Complete new and existing member contracts and provide new member kits
- Mastery of all member opportunities within the club; connecting new members to areas of interest to set them up for success and long-term membership
- Assist with the research and preparation of corporate and private prospect lists/lead generation and other special projects as needed
- Maintain a highly visible presence throughout the facility
Schedule: Full-Time4 weekdays and 1 weekend day (8 hour shift)
Compensation:$60000-$120000 per year (base commission) depending on experience
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of membership sales experience at a Fitness Club Country Club or other similar industry
- Strong interest and/or experience in the Fitness & Health Industry
- Strong interpersonal skills and great phone etiquette
- Self-starter with a successful history of sales performance
- Organized analytical and great problem solver
- Ability to quickly learn new skills and concepts
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to prospect both internal and external leads
