Job Description
Position: Traffic Control Manager
Our client is a leading supplier of Traffic Control Services Safety Equipment and Apparel Sensors and Traffic related products in the Pacific Northwest Region. They are seeking a Traffic Control Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Traffic Control ITS and Rental departments. This role will require strong leadership skills excellent relationship-building capabilities effective communication and sound judgement. The successful candidate will enjoy a fast-paced work environment and the opportunity to make significant contributions to the companys operations.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Traffic Control Supervisors to ensure seamless communication between office and field activities.
- Monitor the traffic control schedule continuously through dispatch.
- Set up and supervise work zones per the traffic control plan as required.
- Ensure field crew maintains appropriate training and applicable certificates.
- Participate in industry-related seminars meetings and training to ensure up-to-date best practices.
- Assist and follow up on quoted projects for traffic control rental sales and ITS Solutions.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships ensuring issues are dealt with promptly.
- Responsible for recruitment scheduling performance management and policy adherence.
- Be willing to travel to WA/OR/MT/WY/ID to assist with growth sales planning and large projects.
- Hold a valid passport with the willingness and ability to travel to Canada.
- Ensure LEAN and 6S (Six Sigma) are being executed on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass MVR screening.
- Ability to operate a forklift is desired.
- Ability to pull and back up trailer-mounted equipment.
- Traffic Control Supervisor certification preferred but equivalent experience in road construction relating to traffic control may be considered.
- Ability to undergo and pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening and Fit Test.
- Approximately 5-10 years progressive experience in the Traffic/Transportation industry is required.
- Approximately 5-10 years leadership experience is required.
- Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook is required.
- Previous project management experience.
- Previous experience in a LEAN/6S environment is a bonus!
