Position Overview:
Develop implement and manage activities programs and services related to student organizations student leadership opportunities and other campus activities. Develop and execute short and long-term plan goal and objectives for programs to ensure alignment with University goals. Monitor and report on participation and satisfaction and recommend improvements. Develops implements and authorizes the expenditures of department and fee-funded group budgets. Oversees activities and budgets of student fee funded student organizations. Oversee staff student employees and volunteers. Oversee safety and compliance with University risk management standards for related events.
Department Specific Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for providing decision-making and leadership over a comprehensive Student Life area. Areas of direct responsibility include:
Student Engagement
Community Engagement - including volunteer engagement
New Broncho Orientation
Fraternity and Sorority Life
Student Organization management
Spirit teams and mascot
major campus wide programs & traditions
Develops annual budgets consisting of state funding student activity fees and departmental revenue.
Oversees the hiring training supervision and evaluation of the following offices: Student Engagement Community Engagement. Responsible for the coordination of major campus wide programs (i.e. Stampede Week WinterGlow Homecoming etc.).
Directly supervises: the leadership in the following areas:
Community Engagement
Student Engagement
New Broncho Orientation
Pom Coach and Cheer Coach
Office Administrative Assistant
Responsible for the promotion management and implementation of innovative and comprehensive programs that contribute to the student engagement community engagement Directs and coordinates staff in the development of departmental strategic plans goals and objectives in alignment with university priorities. Encourages collaborative programs and activities within the Division of Enrollment and Student Success between divisions and with the metropolitan community to ensure effective communication partnerships and positive working relationships.
Some evenings and weekend duties are required. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
A record of successful and innovative experience in leadership and administration. 5 years of experience with leading planning including program development and innovation program prioritization and assessment. Appropriate profession accomplishments and credentials.
Qualifications/Experience Preferred:
Masters degree in student affairs or related field.
