Position Summary:
The Prepress and 4-Color Process Supervisor is responsible for digital prepress processes procedures and print color supervision. This position coordinates the Iowa facility activities with our other two Midwest locations. This position has a key role in driving our organization to be the best 4-Color Process producer for both Flexo and Litho printing in our markets.

- Create and develop all color management processes throughout the entire printing process. Color matches between proofs plates and press.
- Serve as the technical resource to all departments and customers to address and resolve inquiries and troubleshoot issues throughout the manufacturing process.
- Develop and implement training programs to upgrade the skills of all employees involved in the color management process.
- Conduct periodic internal audits to verify conformance to all policies and procedures required throughout the print production/color management process.
- Research new equipment software and processes to improve quality and performance.
- Monitor and drive efficient production flow and job scheduling to achieve on-time and accurate project completion.
- Travel to customer locations to give seminars on relevant topics.
- Validate and audit color calibrations ensuring they are maintained according to equipment manufacturers requirements; validate and audit color proofing ensuring company assets are in alignment.
- Develop annual expense budgets which accurately reflect costs and potential cost reductions in the future.
- Manage and accept responsibility daily for all assigned personnel as they perform production related tasks; guide team to meet Company vision and department objectives.
- Promote a safe work environment and good housekeeping enforce compliance and active participation in safety requirements and projects.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and participate in new-hire selection onboarding and training.
Education and Experience:
- Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Expert knowledge of Mac and PC platforms digital prepress and print technology required.
- Demonstrated experience with Esko / Art Pro Photoshop Illustrator InDesign and Acrobat to generate proofs and press plates for production preferred.
- Four-year Printing and Graphic Arts degree preferred.
- Two years of prepress supervision and hands-on experience preferred.
