Position Summary
This role is responsible for the global PCS business operations including customer experience order management purchasing inbound freight logistics global trade compliance (GTC) commercial operations and inventory management. The primary objective of the position is to achieve and maintain superior customer satisfaction with PCS cGMP Distribution and Assurance of Supply Services while simultaneously supporting PCS financial objectives for inbound freight costs inventory metrics and other supply chain expenses across the global PCS distribution network. The Sr Manager will strive to eliminate or minimize supply chain risks and provide strategic supply chain solutions for our global customers. They are responsible for the Account Services Supply Chain Training and Commercial Operations departments while also working cross functionally with other PCS functional leaders to accomplish these objectives and champion a culture of collaboration and growth mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides overall direction and leadership to account services supply chain training and commercial operations teams to ensure optimal customer experience.
- Develop and implement the required systems and processes to ensure effective order fulfillment; leverage both PCS and broader Thermo Fisher supply chain capabilities and infrastructure as required and appropriate.
- Develop appropriate procedures to ensure compliance to global regulatory and Global Trade Compliance requirements to implement required import and export of PCS portfolio products.
- Work closely with PCS Quality teams to ensure order management and purchasing procedures and staff training are accurately detailed and integrated into the PCS Quality System and are aligned to applicable cGMP and ISO 9001 standards.
- Coordinate with PCS commercial and product management personnel to identify and address issues at suppliers resulting in non-conformances extended lead-times or unmet customer expectations.
- Drive an environment of dedication and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for product data management that supports commercial opportunities.
- Performs new material item set up and price lists.
- Leads annual price roll customer rebates and contracts within ERP.
- Continuously assess and optimizes supply chain performance to exceed customer expectations.
- May participate in internal and external audits.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or higher degree in business operations or supply chain.
- An MBA or 5 years professional management experience in customer service and/or business operations leadership.
- Experience with practical process improvement initiatives.
- Validated team and individual leadership skills and ability to work across functions to accomplish successful results for complex objectives.
- Strong gauge for business and analytical skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of cGMP Quality Systems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supply Chain certification (CSCP CPSM) or advanced degree (MBA or Masters in Supply Chain or other relevant degree)
- Global cGMP Supply Chain or distribution experience
