Human Resources Generalist Full-time typically M-F 8:00-5:00 may occasionally need to work evening and weekend hours.
Salaried Exempt; Non-Union
Position Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff administering pay benefits and leave and enforcing company policies and practices.
Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience. Associate or bachelors degree preferred
Experience:
3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist HR Assistant or Administrate Assistant role required. SHRM certification preferred.
Job Knowledge:
Solid understanding/experience with human resources and payroll processes benefit & compensation administration recruitment & onboarding processes handling employee relations issues organizational planning & development FMLA/leave administration employment law compliance (FLSA ADEA EEO ADA FMLA etc.) performance management employee development corrective action employee investigations regulatory reporting.
Skills:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured competency-based stress etc.). Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. High level of interpersonal skills and professionalism to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn to use the organizations Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and talent management systems.
