Whats the job
The Communications & Public Affairs Team shapes a cohesive and compelling narrative that strengthens the Torrens Global Education brand engages internal and external stakeholders highlights our commitment to educational excellence and community impact and helps shape our operating environment.
As a senior member of the team the Senior Advisor Employee Communications is responsible for developing and leading internal communication strategies that connect employees to our purpose values and strategic priorities. The role provides high-level communication advice to leaders across the organisation and delivers targeted impactful messaging that supports engagement and alignment. Working closely with the Director Communications and Public Affairs this role plays a key leadership functionoffering strategic editorial guidance and helping embed the organisational strategy through clear consistent and meaningful communication.
This role also works across teams and campuses to strengthen employee connection and plays a pivotal role in shaping internal content and threading the Torrens Global Education story through internal and external events and initiatives.

Accountabilities:
Strategic Communication Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive employee communication strategies that align with TGEs strategy goals and objectives.
Oversee the creation and dissemination of internal communications to ensure consistent clear and engaging messaging across TGE
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders including senior leadership faculty and staff.
Content Development:
Develop high-quality compelling content for various communication platforms including written visual and multimedia formats.
Crisis Communication:
Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and respond to potential issues or emergencies.
Event Management:
Plan and execute internal events such as town halls staff meetings and employee recognition events to foster engagement and community.
Measurement and Evaluation:
Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and initiatives.
Brand Advocacy:
Promote and protect TGEs brand and reputation through effective communication strategies.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in employee communications.
We are looking for an individual who thrives in dynamic environments and has a passion for communications and stakeholder engagement who has;
10 years experience in communications
Bachelors degree in public relations communications political science or a related field.
Excellent oral written and digital communication skills
Demonstrated extensive and broad experience in producing effective and engaging communications content for different platforms and audiences
Outstanding relationship-building and interpersonal skills to enable professional interaction and influence with a range of people cultures and all levels of seniority
Highly developed time and project management skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
Ability to work independently as part of a small team and to deliver results through advising and influencing others
Demonstrated resilience problem-solving and can-do attitude and ability to generate and implement innovative solutions
