P1C3TSTSPosition Support/QA Engineer (Mainframe) (QA Support/Level 4)Job OverviewMargin team looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Mainframe and Support Engineer to join our IT Operations team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting business-critical mainframe applications ensuring system availability resolving incidents and performing root cause analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor maintain and support batch jobs databases and production ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day support for mainframe non-production environmentsMonitor and troubleshoot batch jobs using tools like JCL Control-M or CA-7Analyze and resolve application/system errors abends and performance issuesPerform incident and problem management ensuring timely resolution and documentationUse COBOL JCL VSAM and DB2 to investigate and resolve production issuescode deployments system upgrades and change management activitiesSupport code deployments system upgrades and change management activitiesWork closely with development QA and infrastructure teams for coordinated supportCreate and maintain support documentation runbooks and operational proceduresParticipate in on-call support rotation and provide off-hours support when necessarySkills Required 4 years of Experience as in Mainframe technologies like COBOL DB2 JCL etc Expertise in Production Support for Mainframe Batch Environment Expertise in quickly resolving batch failures environmental issues Experience with JCL/COBOL/VSAM and should be able write simple programs/JCL as needExperience with Scheduler - tws/control-m SyncSort Familiarity with SPLUNK Reporting IBM Tivoli Output Management File Manager Good to have - Experience in Distributed batch environment familiarity with Unix/Putty Shell/Python Scripts autosys SQL etcExcellent interpersonal skills and professional approachShould be flexible to login early on-demand and on weekend as per need of the system supported Willing to learn and adopt to distributed technologies as wellMainframeProd Support
