WHAT YOULL DO:

At Sephora we inspire our customers empower people and help them become the best versions of themselves. As a Director of Total Rewards you play a key role in that. Reporting to the VP Human Resources Canada with a dotted line to the VP Total Rewards North America youll be responsible for designing implementing and managing the organizations total rewards programs which include compensation benefits wellness initiatives recognition programs and other employee rewards. Youll work with our Corporate and Store leaders to ensure we have competitive total rewards programs aligned with the North America rewards strategy to attract and retain exceptional talent in order to help us deliver on our business strategy.

Strategic Development of Total Rewards Programs

  • Create strategies in alignment with our North America Rewards strategy to ensure competitiveness of our total rewards programs that are financially sound and legally compliant.
  • Lead the design and execution of compensation and benefits programs and ensure alignment of programs with our culture and values ensuring stakeholder alignment and updates process development project management execution and communications
  • Partner and collaborate with North America Total Rewards leadership and team HR Operations HRIS HR Business Partners Talent Acquisition Legal Payroll Tax and Finance to execute and administer total rewards strategy.
  • Travel is required on occasion within North America and internationally for market visits and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Compensation Program Design and Management

  • Oversee the design implementation and management of base and variable compensation programs including salary structures incentive plans and equity programs.
  • Conduct annual compensation reviews benchmarking and market adjustments ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.

Benefits and Wellness Programs

  • In partnership with North America team design and execute on health welfare retirement and wellness programs ensuring they are aligned with employee needs and company goals and are compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Oversee administration of day-to-day benefits program and annual open enrollment cycles.
  • Manage relationships with benefits vendors brokers and consultants to ensure effective administration and customer and contract with vendors to achieve cost-effective benefits programs.
  • Manage the annual benefits budgeting process in partnership with Finance and North America team.

Compliance and Governance

  • Drive operational excellence by developing robust foundation and processes for total rewards to support a high growth organization.
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team to define functionality and business rules for the total rewards systems.

Communication and Change Management

  • Develop change management strategies for total rewards.
  • Create a Compelling Communications Strategy for total rewards including education and messaging that will help our workforce understand and make the most of their total rewards.
  • Drive development of educational pieces and programs around total rewards.
  • Accurately counsel communicate and educate HR Business Partners managers and executives on rewards decisions policy and guideline interpretations and job evaluations.

People Leadership and Development

  • Lead develop and mentor a talented total rewards team inclusive of coaching and developing the talent culture process and technology. Identify needs growth areas and pain points.
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with the North America Total Rewards team.

WHAT YOULL BRING:

  • You have previous HR leadership experience ideally in an environment with a workforce comprised of different employee populations (retail/client-facing distribution centers/warehouses corporate employees).
  • You have 10 years of experience in compensation and benefits; including program development management and execution and minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams.
  • You have worked in a global company and are comfortable working in matrixed organization structure
  • You have a strategic mindset but can understand the nuances of execution and account for them.
  • Youre a people person who can build relationships across the business at all levels and have a strong executive presence
  • Youre analytical organized and thrive working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Youre excited about driving operational change by sharing insights and influencing others.
