Job Description

About the opportunity

The Director Strategic Programs is accountable for delivering the program of work related to the design and implementation of an Enterprise Operating Model that meets the operational and strategic objectives and benefits of the WorkSafe Strategy. The program will also work closely with related technology programs to ensure that it is provided with the technical solutions to achieve the business outcomes required.

The position is the custodian of operating model capability for the enterprise and is accountable for integrating this with leadership change and other frameworks. This role will lead a multidisciplinary enterprise design program and associated project teams.

  • Develop and manage critical stakeholder relationships with the CEO and ELT and other executive leaders throughout WorkSafe to influence the achievement and adoption of the Program.
  • Establish and lead high performing multi-functional teams from across the business who are empowered to deliver in a matrix reporting environment including subject matter and technical experts.
  • Develop and implement integrated program plans across all delivery streams; providing clarity on the roles and responsibilities of each team member; program delivery expectations expected behaviours sequencing and progress.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in the successful delivery of complex change programs of work in large complex organisations as well as the proven ability to lead teams through ambiguity to deliver strategic benefits. The ability to demonstrate detailed knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulators and workers compensation in Victoria is a must as well as the ability to engage influence and negotiate at all levels of the organisation and diverse stakeholders including Executive and Senior Leaders.
