The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $33.00 to $37.50 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location education experience knowledge and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do In This Role:
- Participate in semi-complex equipment trial runs investigative tests repairs and overhauls.
- Train customers on semi-complex products and services to ensure flawless operation.
- Perform semi-complex maintenance on tools and test equipment maintaining detailed documentation of all inspections maintenance repair work and failures.
- Respond to semi-complex service calls ensuring quick and efficient resolution.
- Assess semi-complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and recommend modifications or improvements.
- Perform semi-complex technical or paraprofessional work.
- Identify and tackle problems as they occur referring sophisticated or unusual issues to others when necessary.
What We Are Looking For:
- Trade school graduate or equivalent experience in a mechanical electrical or mechanical technician program. An Engineering Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience solving issues with electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment including material handling equipment. Experience with Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV) Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) or conveyors is highly prized.
- Willingness to travel on short notice and spend over 80% of the time traveling potentially being continuously away from home for up to a month. Travel expenses are covered.
- Availability to work during off-hours including weekends holidays and off shifts.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Proficiency in writing concise clear and complete trip reports in the required timeframe according to Dematic procedures.
- Knowledge of personal computers for word processing database functions and communications.
- Experience in fixing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is vital.
