- Salary relative to experience and ranges from $148230 to $162682 super
Our Conservation Programs Heritage and Regulation Regional Delivery team is currently seeking to appoint an Executive Officer.
This is a leadership role managing the Divisional Support team making day-to-day decisions about work priorities and workload management for yourself and the team. Flexibility and being able to quickly understand issues and provide information and advice to the Executive Director Directors branch support staff and staff across the division is key.
The role includes:
- WHS budget people matters secretariat functions Executive Director communications risk reviews and reporting.
- Managing a variety of projects to support the divisions strategic and operational objectives.
- Coordinating input on Regional Delivery operations for the Deputy Secretarys office and corporate services functions.
- Managing a high-functioning team (Senior Business Coordinator Executive Assistant Admin Support Officer) in a busy environment.
About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- Manage competing deadlines and priorities.
- Maintain open and transparent communication with your team and the Executive Director.
- Build effective working relationships with key teams across our division.
- Take on new tasks with a proactive approach and a positive attitude.
Key Knowledge and Experience
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in providing a high-quality business support including demonstrated ability to deal with complex financial WHS risk and people matters.
- Excellent project management skills including experience applying project management methodologies prioritising evaluating outcomes and making recommendations to improve business performance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the workings of government parliamentary processes and public sector administration principles
