This is an in-office position based out of Ent Credit Union Headquarters in Colorado Springs. This is not a remote eligible position.
As the Credit Card Collection Specialist Jr. the position is responsible for assisting members and helping them through their Financial Hardship ensuring accounts are charged off in a timely manner to make sure Ent is in compliance with NCUA and to help minimize Ents exposure to risk and loss while ensuring a maximum return to its members by following the Collection Department Policies and Procedures as well as adhering to State and Federal Laws.
Essential Functions
- Perform a Consultative collection role: Place outbound calls to members Co-borrowers Joints and Authorized users using various resources and negotiate payment arrangements negotiate payment options (i. e. automatic transfers/bill pay/payment by phone etc. ) Facilitate Collateral Protection Insurance and posting issue resolutions and assist with hardships.
- Perform file maintenance on credit cards for both consumer and business accounts: Charge off the cards each month. Power Of Attorney Debt Settlement. Workout Requests. Settlement Requests on Charge off and Pre-Charge off Requests.
- Daily Operational Tasks: Work Akcelerant Tasks. Work CRM cases. Work Velera Reports. Work Secured messages.
- Collections Support: Work with Probate Bankruptcy Charge off and Credit Reporting as needed to support general Collections operations.
- Vendor Support: Assist with ad hoc credit card assignments from vendors.
- Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Qualifications :
Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent.
- 2 years Collection/Financial Customer Service Experience. Required
- 1 years Credit Card Collection experience. preferred
Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of how to manage and protect confidential member and financial information with discretion and professionalism.
- Skill with Microsoft Excel and Word for tracking reporting and communication tasks.
- Skill with customer service and interpersonal communication emphasizing empathy and problem-solving.
- Ability to use general computer applications including financial and case management systems.
- Ability to quickly learn new information adapt to change and apply coaching in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of financial instruments and the ability to perform accurate financial calculations.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally and to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

The pay range for this position is: $23.36 to $25.82 per Hour (S12)
Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience specific skills and competencies education certifications and internal pay equity.
This position is eligible for a monthly incentive plan.
