Job Description
Were looking for a Germany Country Lead EHS / Sustainability either as an individual or a small team. You wont just be joining J.S. Held - youll be building our presence in Germany. This is a rare opportunity to take the reins of a global firms expansion into one of Europes most influential markets. Youll have the autonomy to shape strategy the support of a global network and the platform to make a lasting impact.

- Energy Transition Services
- Environmental Due Diligence
- Environmental Impact Assessment & Permitting
- Environmental Investigation & Remediation Services
- Environmental Risk & Compliance
- ESG & EHS Digital Solutions
- Product Stewardship & Liability Consulting
- Safety Consulting Services
- Toxicology Consulting Services
- Sustainability & ESG Services
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and grow J.S. Helds presence in Germany setting the vision and strategy for our EHS / Sustainability services.
- Represent the firm in the German market building trusted relationships with clients regulators and industry leaders.
- Identify market opportunities develop service offerings and lead business development efforts to build a robust client portfolio.
- Oversee and contribute to high-impact consulting engagements ensuring quality innovation and client satisfaction.
- Recruit mentor and lead a high-performing team creating a culture of excellence collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Work closely with international colleagues to align local initiatives with global strategy and share best practices across borders.
Qualifications :
- Extensive experience in a top-tier consulting firm with a strong track record in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Sustainability or related services.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and leading teams.
- Demonstrated ability to win and deliver complex consulting engagements ideally with a portable book of business.
- In-depth understanding of the consulting environment in Germany including client expectations regulatory frameworks and competitive dynamics.
- Well-connected within the German market with an existing network of clients partners and industry stakeholders.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities shape service offerings and lead long-term growth initiatives.
- A self-starter who thrives in building new practices teams and client relationships from the ground up.
- Fluent in English and German with the ability to operate effectively in both local and international business contexts.
