Position Overview:
As National Sales Director New Construction for you will develop and lead strategy for partnering with and acquiring business from the nations largest residential new construction builders. You will build and lead a team of sales executives tasked with building relationships with the largest national builders to drive awareness of and build penetration of our sales initiatives. In your role you will manage both internal and external relationships to develop and execute the new construction strategy including product marketing sales effectiveness industry relations & builder leaders.
Responsibilities:
Develop a go-to-market approach with New Construction clients including target list menu of offerings revenue models and connection points to the sales team.
Attract hire develop and motivate high impact sales professionals capable of building c-suite relationships with new construction executives
Establish individual and team performance targets that align with overall business goals.
Provide coaching and training as necessary to enhance the sales effectiveness of the team.
Manage the identification prioritization and winning of new construction relationships.
Monitor team performance and hold team accountable to the required level of sales activity and new construction relationships to ensure the achievement of business performance targets and standards.
Provide performance updates to Head of New Construction Sales SVP of Sales and other senior executives at the company including finance product and marketing.
Ensure CoStar culture and Core Values are adopted by team members.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited not-for-profit college or university
Minimum of 12 years of sales and/or business development experience
Minimum 7 years people leadership experience within a B2B sales environment
Experience leading sales and business development efforts in a fast-paced organization with a metrics-driven focus
Proven track record of commitment with previous employers
Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Demonstrated ability to build long-term and sustainable relationships and business partnerships with customers at all levels.
Demonstrated track record of leading sales/business development functions within the new construction industry
Effective internal (leadership peers teams company-wide) and external (sales channels customers etc.) relationship building skills.
Demonstrated ability to retain proven sales producers and manage non-producers.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company.
