Position Title: Director of Technology Operations
Reports To: Director of Technology
Classification and Terms of Employment: Administrative Compensation Plan (Director Level D Salary Range $87000 - $104000) 12-Month Contract Exempt
General Description: Responsible for technology staff supervision systems operations including servers help desk technical expertise cybersecurity confidentiality. They ensure compliance with district state and national policies while fostering a collaborative environment.
Essential Functions:
Leadership and Supervision:
- Supervise and evaluate technology staff including help desk personnel network and systems teams
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Technology Operations:
- Oversee technology systems operations including server management migration and maintenance
- Manage the Help Desk program to ensure a balanced workflow and timely resolution of issues
- Oversee technology purchases ordering and inventory management for new equipment replacements updates and repairs ensuring compliance with district standards and software specifications.
- Oversee device self-maintainer program with computer manufacturer
Financial Management:
- Develop and monitor technology budgets and budget reports for Department District State and E-Rate projects as well as other federal projects as needed
Technical Expertise:
- Maintain in-depth technical knowledge and expertise in Google Enterprise Microsoft Office Suite department workflow software Help Desk systems and various operating systems
Cybersecurity:
- Author implement and update district cybersecurity plans training programs and compliance procedures in accordance with best practices and audit requirements
- Ensure compliance with national cybersecurity standards for K-12 systems and update systems as needed
Support and Collaboration:
- Provide support to school and district personnel with technology-related projects
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate technology effectively into educational programs
Communication and Confidentiality:
- Oversee services related to correspondence telephone calls customer service and scheduling of technology-related appointments and projects
- Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information and records
Professional Development:
- Remain current with technological knowledge and skills through networking membership in technology associations and pursuing professional development opportunities
Other Duties:
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
- Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move lift carry pull or push heavy objects or materials.
- Occasional stooping bending and reaching.
- Requires prolonged sitting or standing and use of equipment including repetitivemotions and computer eye fatigue.
- Must be able to work independently without continuous supervision.
- Must occasionally work in noisy and crowded environments with numerousinterruptions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent. Two years technology experience in an enterprise education environment. Ability to maintain files inventories and records. Ability to complete a variety of assignments with minimal instruction or supervision. Knowledge of and experience with computers (word processing and spreadsheets). Expertise in the areas of Google Enterprise Microsoft Office Help Desk and Macintosh OS.
