The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching learning creativity social development and groundbreaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the School of Medicine.
About the role:
The optometry program is based within the Deakin School of Medicine and is one of five clinical training programs in the school. The Deakin optometry program is grounded in pedagogical design which is vertically and horizontally integrated; anchored by a first year curriculum comprising foundational studies and then driven by a backbone of problem-based learning (PBL) team based learning and clinical skills taught in a manner that links their relevance to PBL cases.

This position will suit a person with a high level of clinical optometry experience with strong interest/clinical experience in ocular surface disease together with an emerging record and passion for learning and teaching. An interest in exploring and building on new areas of clinical teaching for high quality student experience outcomes is highly regarded.
