Mobius has an exciting position for a Senior Modeling and Simulation Analyst directly supporting the Missile Defense Agencys Wargames and Exercises Directorate (MDA/DTW). Mobius provides professional engineering and analysis expertise to support various government agencies to solve some of the nations most challenging problems. We are at the leading edge of technology in advanced missile defense system testing engineering analysis and wargames/exercises.
Our MDA/DTW analysts and engineers work in modern well-appointed government facilities on Schriever Space Force Base (SFB) Colorado. Schriever SFB is located just east of Colorado Springs and is certainly a hub of missile / space operations research and development. You will collaborate with other missile defense experts military government civilians and various contractors to support MDAs missile defense testing and evaluation activities that are integral to delivering state-of-the art sensors weapons and command/control systems to the warfighter.
The Modeling and Simulation Analyst is a senior technical position capable of executing tasks associated with supporting Combatant Command (CCMD) exercises. The candidate will support designing building and running modeling and simulations of missile defense systems and missile threats. The candidate plan configure execute and monitor Missile Defense System (MDS) parameters into simulation software such as Missile Defense Advanced Simulation (MDASIM) and Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM) to support distributive virtual and constructive exercises modeling BMD systems and ballistic missile threats.
Duties of a Modeling and Simulation Analyst may include:
- Support the technical lead in all aspects of MDS Wargames and Exercises modeling and simulation.
- Conduct element pre-test coordination event execution pre- and post-mission testing.
- Responsibilities range from conducting weekly planning meetings to technical activities involving diverse network / architecture configurations.
- Configure and conduct on-console support on designated modeling and simulation workstations that support CCMD and MDA BMD exercises.
- Assist with identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies
- As-directed basis the candidate may be required to travel (10%) and potentially work alternative shifts to support exercise execution and planning conferences.
Qualifications:
- Experience with DoD Wargames and Exercises
- Familiar with the DoD Joint Event Life Cycle process
- Familiar with MDASIM Open Systems Sensor Models (OSM) EADSIM or other M&S software
- Software development experience desired
- Must be a self-starter able to multi-task in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- Ability to configure and operate Windows and LINUX workstations
- Experience in DoD test processes and/or test execution desired
- Able to support alternative shifts on a periodic basis to execute warfighter exercises
Education
- MA/MS degree w/ 10 years of experience in a field pertinent to the position; A BA/BS with five years of additional relevant experience (15 years total) may be substituted for the MA/MS degree requirement
- CompTIA Security desired
Clearance
- Secret clearance or higher required
