Job Description

Confluence Water a Ventia Downer and Jacobs Joint Venture is one of three Regional Delivery Partnerships providing services for Sydney Water. We work hard to ensure that Sydney Water keeps running for people who live in the North Region of Sydney - rain hail or shine. We are often the first to reach an emergency during severe weather events and we are responsible for the delivery of an unprecedented pipeline of capital works across the life of our ten year contract.

Confluence Water delivers design construction maintenance and facilities management services which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance team and work on the Sydney Water Treatment Plant maintenance and minor projects at the North Head Sydney Water Site. You will be maintaining essential infrastructure and troubleshooting a diverse range of mechanical equipment. This is a 10-year program of works offering job stability and the opportunity for training and career progression. We have a newly negotiated EA and we offer the opportunity to work up different skill profiles. We are ideally looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanical Fitter who is happy to work at North Head Manly.

ABOUT YOU

  • Certificate III or IV in Engineering Mechanical Trade
  • Work Safely at Heights
  • Enter Confined Space
  • Provide First Aid
  • Able to execute work tasks with minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills

  • Flange Management
  • Elevated Work Platform
  • Tubing & Fitting (Install/Inspect)
  • High Risk Work Licence Dogging (DG) Competent in core elements required for the discipline and demonstrated experience in some site-specific tasks
  • Leads reliability and performance improvements
  • Trains and coaches other staff
