Job Description
Location: Concord CA

A reputable heavy civil contractor is seeking a Project Manager to oversee field operations and ensure projects are completed safely profitably and on schedule. Reporting to the Area Manager this role is responsible for managing all stages of construction from pre-construction through closeout coordinating field teams and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead construction projects to achieve or exceed scope budget and schedule goals.
- Manage field operations through superintendents and foremen.
- Oversee project schedules documentation budgets change orders and client communications.
- Ensure compliance with labor agreements safety standards and prevailing wage laws.
- Utilize Primavera P6 for project scheduling; review financials invoicing and change proposals.
- Support recruitment training and development of project personnel.
- Promote continuous improvement by incorporating client feedback and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years in construction project management.
- At least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of contracts project scheduling cost management and field operations.
- Experience with HCSS Primavera P6 and Viewpoint Spectrum is preferred.
- Excellent leadership organizational and communication skills.
- Valid drivers license required.
