We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front Office Manager to join our team at Novotel Lisboa.
Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager as the face of our hotel you will lead and inspire our front office team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while ensuring smooth daily operations.
What are your main tasks
- Oversee and manage all front office operations including reception and reservations
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Lead train and mentor front office staff to maintain high service standards
- Manage room inventory and coordinate with housekeeping to ensure timely room readiness
- Handle VIP guests ensuring personalized service and addressing any concerns promptly
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Manage budgets financial reporting and key performance indicators for the front office
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies procedures and local regulations
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues effectively and professionally
- Participate in daily operations meetings and coordinate with support departments
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for the front office
- Champion ALL program and inspire the team on a daily basis
Qualifications :
Who are you
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or 2-3 years as Front Office Assistant Manager within international chains
- Strong knowledge of PMS preferably FOLS and/or Opera
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire team members
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and make decisive decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
- Fluency in English and Portuguese are mandatory; additional languages are a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think strategically and adapt to changing industry trends
- Knowledge of local hospitality regulations and standards in Portugal
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
