Your role and responsibilities

In this Advertising Adviser position you will act as a trusted advertising and marketing partner for both internal and external clients guiding them through the full spectrum of advertising and promotional opportunities.

You will not only maintain and update recruitment adverts on our website () via Oracle Fusion and CAMS but also drive multichannel campaigns; from digital display search and social media (including YouTube and Google Ads) to outofhome (OOH) radio spots and branded merchandise.

By liaising with media suppliers creatives and finance colleagues you will ensure that every campaign is aligned with client objectives remains costeffective and delivers measurable results. In doing so you will balance creative copywriting and design preparation with pragmatic budget management ensuring accuracy in booking tracking and reporting across all channels.

  • Manage and be active in multiple mailboxes for varying requests and clients.
  • Upload schedule and maintain recruitment and promotional adverts on our website via Oracle Fusion; manage campaign data daily in CAMS to ensure bookings and financials are accurate.
  • Draft proofread and edit advertising copy working with a designer to deliver on-brand creative assets optimised for each medium.
  • Plan and coordinate OOH campaigns - negotiate rates approve proofs liaise with installers and ensure timely delivery of vinyl or print assets.
  • Book radio airtime liaise with station representatives to secure optimal dayparts and verify that scripts/audio meet broadcast standards.
  • Oversee branded merchandise orders - from sourcing suppliers and designs to managing inventory levels - ensuring quality control and consistency.
  • Conduct market research to identify target audiences emerging trends and competitive activities then translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and implement multi-channel marketing strategies (digital social media email content) to support recruitment goals and broader organisational objectives.
  • Set up and optimise Google Ads YouTube and social campaigns - build keyword lists write ad copy monitor performance metrics and adjust bids/budgets to maximise ROI (Return On Investment).

What you will need

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as advertising business management communications or marketing while a NVQ Level 4 is desirable
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Oracle Fusion (or a similar CMS/CRM) and the CAMS booking system; handson experience with Google Ads YouTube Studio Facebook Business Manager or equivalent social advertising platforms.
  • Strong understanding of media channels - digital social radio and OOH including best practices for ad specification targeting measurement and optimisation.
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills able to adapt tone of voice for different channels and audiences.
  • Ability to prioritise a varied workload meet tight deadlines under pressure and work autonomously yet knowing when to involve senior colleagues for direction.
  • Strong communication negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills to work effectively with both clients and media suppliers as well as to influence internal teams (e.g. Graphic Designers Finance Officers).
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to train or mentor others sharing knowledge of new digital tools or advertising techniques.
  • Desirable: experience with partnershipbased advertising (e.g. cofunded council or thirdsector campaigns) basic graphic design understanding and an eagerness to conduct market research and present insights in a clear concise manner.

You will join Suffolk Advertising which comprises an Advertising Manager a Senior Advertising Adviser Advertising Advisers (including this role) Finance Officers and Graphic Designers.
