Job Description

Are you passionate about fintech sales and market expansion PayZeep is offering a Business Development Internship Program for proactive and strategic individuals eager to gain real-world experience in field sales and market expansion.

As a Business Development Associate youll be part of a dynamic team focused on identifying and engaging high-value merchants Microfinance Banks (MFBs) cooperatives logistics firms and other institutional clients. Your goal is to unlock new business opportunities share tailored proposals and support the conversion of these leads into active PayZeep partners while also contributing to grassroots marketing efforts through content capture and promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct field research and outreach to identify high-potential retail and institutional prospects (e.g. large merchants MFBs transport unions cooperatives).
Initiate conversations understand client needs and position PayZeeps tailored solutions (POS mPOS payment gateways and agency banking).
Prepare and send customized proposals to qualified leads and follow up for closure.
Collaborate with the sales team to support merchant/institutional onboarding and documentation.
Drive visibility through flyer distribution and live demonstrations in retail hubs and marketplaces.
Capture photos and short videos of engagements for use on social media and campaigns.
Track leads maintain a pipeline report and document learnings from the field.
Meet set performance targets around lead generation proposal delivery and conversion.


Qualifications :

Ideal Candidate Profile
OND/HND/BSc in Business Marketing Finance Economics or related field. (NYSC Corps Members are encouraged to apply).
Strong interest in business development fintech and B2B/B2C sales.
Excellent communication persuasion and presentation skills.
Ability to identify qualify and engage high-value commercial prospects.
Basic understanding of POS agency banking and merchant payment systems.
Self-starter with strong follow-up discipline and attention to detail.
Familiarity with Lagos business environment and key retail/institutional hubs is a plus.
Smartphone-savvy (for proposal sharing content capture and reporting).
