Position Overview: The Planned Giving Associate develops and executes planned giving and fundraising initiatives in service to the mission and strategic goals of the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of St. Cloud. This position involves researching prospecting cultivating and managing relationships with parishes donors and community members and coordinating planned giving activities. The Planned Giving Associate supports the organizations development efforts and helps maximize donor support.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Executive Director creating a strategic fundraising plan building annual fundraising goals focusing on planned giving major gifts annual gifts corporate sponsorships and grant opportunities for the organizations affiliated with the Catholic Foundation.
- Lead efforts to identify cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors parishioners community leaders and corporate partners to secure financial support.
- Conduct donor research and maintenance of the donor database to track interactions contributions and engagement levels using strategic and systematic processes and best practices.
- Donor database software super user.
- Conduct and collaborate on communications to provide updates express gratitude and engage donors in the mission and activities of Catholic Foundation and the other affiliated organizations in the Diocese of St. Cloud.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of planned giving events and make recommendations for improvements.
- Participate in the process of preparing charitable gifts for a deposit logging gifts in the donor database and the acknowledgment of gifts.
- Participate in fundraising events and planned giving activities.
- Collaborate with Executive Director to prepare reports for Board of Directors meetings and other committee meetings as required.
- Participates with appropriate diocesan and community organizations
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: (Minimum Required) - Associate Degree or Bachelors degree preferably in a related field (such as Nonprofit Management Business or Communications).
- Strong potential for success in fundraising development or related roles within the nonprofit sector.
- Appreciation and support of the Catholic faith values and mission of the Catholic Foundation.
The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Saint Cloud was established in 2000 to nurture stewardship and philanthropy throughout the diocese. The Catholic Foundation tends and distributes grants from endowed funds educates others about philanthropic opportunities and manages funds for parishes institutions and individual donors. Donors to the foundation may choose to honor loved ones or leave their own legacy through a named fund to benefit their favorite charity school or parish. In addition the foundation offers life-income arrangements through various instruments. The Catholic Foundation currently manages assets in excess of $30 million.
