You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailMadden Industrial Craftsmen is hiring an Assistant Project Manager with a focus on mechanical design for a long-established client in North Portland. This company is a recognized leader in the design and manufacturing of driveshafts for a wide range of industries and applications such as the marine agricultural automotive industries and more. The ideal candidate will contribute to engineering solutions for complex systems and help foster long-term customer partnerships.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (in-person position)
Starting Salary:
$60k-70k/yr negotiable DOE
Key Responsibilities
Design industrial and marine driveline systems using AutoCAD Inventor or similar CAD software.
Prepare inspection reports and develop accurate project quotations.
Coordinate with customers vendors and internal departments to manage orders and ensure timely delivery.
Work closely with the Procurement Department to source and track project materials and parts.
Collaborate with the Shop Foreman to schedule production storage and delivery of driveline components.
Maintain professional relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
35 years of experience with AutoCAD or comparable CAD software (preferred).
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
Experience with Inventor 2022 or similar 3D design software (preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Excel Word Teams).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented mindset.
